Vision: Through orchestral and other ensemble training, young musicians will become deeply committed to learning and expanding their musical skills and to the art of professional music. Mission: To provide professional leadership and inspiration to talented young musicians in the Lowcountry. We do this by providing opportunities for young musicians to work, perform, and interact with college-level and professional musicians in an orchestral environment. |

Guiding Principles: · Influencing the Future: We believe the talent, performance and practice standards of college-level and professional musicians can positively influence young musicians, and that this influence will create pathways to higher education in music and professional careers. · Increasing Awareness: We believe that all of our activities must focus on increasing awareness and appreciation of classical symphonic music by encouraging young conductors and instrumentalists through performance opportunities throughout the region. · Fostering Access: We believe that our selection process and programs must be implemented in a way that reduces real or perceived barriers to participation including geographic and socio-economic barriers. |
